Presentation: You’ve got to see me to help me: Supporting boys and men of color.

Stephanie Hawkins, PhD, is Director of the Youth, Violence Prevention and Community Justice Program and Lead for RTI’s Racial Justice and Transformative Research Initiative She is also a clinician and researcher with more than 25 years of experience working with youth and families of color who reside in resource-poor urban communities.

Darigg Brown, PhD, is a Behavioral Scientist in the Community Health Research Division at RTI. He has extensive experience conducting research and programmatic activities in areas such as community violence prevention, trauma and mental health, youth substance abuse prevention, and HIV/AIDS prevention.

Presentation: Young men's behavioral competencies and risk of alcohol use disorder in emerging adulthood.

Katherine Karriker-Jaffe, PhD, is Program Director of the Community Health and Implementation Research Program at RTI International. She is a social epidemiologist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her research focuses on the contribution of the social context to alcohol and other drug outcomes, with an emphasis on racial/ethnic and other disparities.
