July Update

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
First and foremost, I hope you are safe and healthy. We have adapted to the new "virtual normal" and have been quite busy within the gender center this past month. I am excited to share an update on the inspirational event our new external affiliate, Dr. Rebekah Rollston, presented at on epigenetics, specifically how the trauma of deportation negatively impacts a generation. I am also thrilled to announce that Ana Perez will join us as the new Co-Associate Director of the RTI Global Gender Center (more on both below!). We also have another great virtual event planned for August surrounding women's empowerment and access to safe abortion in Colombia on August 18, and we will celebrate Women's Equality Day on August 26 on Twitter to commemorate the 1920 adoption of the Nineteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
