Jennifer Hardison Walters is a Research Social Scientist in the Violence and Victimization Program in RTI International's Center for Justice, Safety, and Resilience.

Ms. Hardison Walters has 16 years of experience conducting applied research and evaluating programs that serve vulnerable populations, including those involved with the criminal justice system. Her research experience spans prisoner reentry, victim services, family and partner violence, sexual assault, child welfare, human trafficking, and juvenile assessment instruments.

Ms. Hardison Walters is skilled in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research, as well as in evaluation technical assistance and community-based participatory methods. She has expertise in evaluation design, protocol development, focus groups and interviews, survey development and administration, qualitative data analysis, dissemination of findings, and project management.

Before joining RTI, she served as an evaluator, trainer, and project coordinator with the North Carolina Family Group Conferencing Project, a statewide child welfare initiative. She also has provided direct services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. She has authored or contributed to three books and numerous journal articles and research posters and presentations.
