Gender Studies or Women’s Studies? The Absence of Cis Men: Discussing the inclusion of men in sexual health intervention and studies
Samuella Ware (Ph.D., MPH) is a sexual health researcher from the Philadelphia area who has focused her career on researching the social-structural factors underlying sexual health disparities. Currently, Dr. Ware serves as the Director of Research and Evaluation for Community Education Group. Dr. Ware's identity as a Black woman informs her research agenda focused on addressing the profound sexual health disparities among Black men and women. Her research has centered on examining social-structural factors' role in HIV-related sexual health disparities, including racial inequalities, cultural norms and values, neighborhood context, and incarceration.
